APPROACH

'OUR FOOTBALL BELONGS TO EVERYONE – TOGETHER WE SIDELINE RACISM AND DISCRIMINATION'

'Our football belongs to everyone – together we can eliminate racism and discrimination'. With this plan of attack, we stand for an effective approach to racism and discrimination throughout football. We build on existing knowledge and experience, develop new initiatives and technology and expand the number of measures. Our approach works along three lines; (1) prevent (2) identify and (3) sanction.

TO PREVENT

The vast majority of people in our society are not out to deliberately hurt others. In those cases, information, dialogue and awareness can positively change behaviour. This is therefore a very important part, especially if good examples are given a platform.

SIGNALING

Sometimes it is very difficult to detect racism and discrimination in the stands or on one of the amateur fields. It is often difficult (legally) to prove who is guilty of this. Reports, signals, hard evidence, but also personal data are necessary to be able to act against those who exceed the standard and investments are also made in this regard.

SANCTION

Perpetrators must be dealt with. Therefore, those guilty of racism and discrimination are dealt with strictly. That will be done by any legal means possible. There is also an explicit focus on punishments that lead to more awareness and a change in behaviour.
